Alignment and distribution layer

During Image Rendering, you sometimes need to align or distribute multiple layers in a certain form to make the image look more neat and orderly. You can use the "move" tool and menu command to align the layers or evenly deploy them. Next we will learn how to align with the distribution layer.

1 align Layers

After the "move" tool is selected, six alignment command buttons are provided in the tool option bar, as shown in 10-69.

Tip: by default, the alignment command button is unavailable in gray. Only when more than two layers are selected at the same time or the current view contains a selection area, this command button will be changed to the usable status.

You can also align the layers by running the "layer"> "alignment" command, as shown in 10-70, and the "alignment" menu.

(1) execute the "file"> "open" command to open the CD \ chapter-10 \ "Small instance attached to the book. PSD file, press the <Ctrl> key, and select a layer as shown in Figure 10-71.

Tip: After selecting "signboard 1", "signboard 2", "signboard 3", and "signboard 4" at the same time, all the images in the selected layers will be treated as a whole, the rectangular box in Layer 1 shows the range of the selected image.

(3) Select the "move" tool and click the "bottom alignment" button on the options bar of the tool. the pixels of the bottom edges of all selected layers are aligned based on the bottom edges of the rectangular box, the effect is 10-72.

(4) Figure 10-73 shows the image effect after executing the "image" → "alignment" sub-menu commands respectively. It can be seen that when alignment is performed using this method, the image is not aligned to which layer, but alignment of all the images in the selected layer as a whole range.

Tip: Disable saving the "small instance" document.

2. Distribution Layer

After the "move" tool is selected, six distributed command buttons are provided in the tool option bar, as shown in Figure 10-74.

Tip: by default, the distribution command button is unavailable in the gray state. This command button is only available when more than three layers are selected at the same time.

You can also align layers by running the "layer"> "distribution" command. The "distribution" menu is shown in 10-75.

The distribution operation can only be performed on three or more layers. Before the distribution, you must determine the start and end points of the distribution.

(1) Select the "dark red gradient" document and restore it to the initial open state. Then open the CD \ chapter-10 \ "box attached to the book. in the PSD file, copy and paste the image in "layer 1" to the "dark red gradient" document to obtain "layer 1", as shown in Figure 10-76.

(2) press <Ctrl + A> to select all layers. Next, select the "move" tool, and confirm "layer 1" as the selection layer. Click the "top alignment" button and "Left alignment" button in the tool option bar to adjust the image position, as shown in 10-77.

Tip: The purpose of this operation is to determine the starting position of the image distribution.

(3) cancel the selection area and copy "layer 1" to obtain the "layer 1 copy" layer. Press the <Ctrl + A> key and select all layers again. Click the "top alignment" and "right alignment" buttons in the "move" tool option bar to adjust the position of the copy image, as shown in 10-78.

Tip: this operation is intended to determine the destination position of the image distribution.

(4) press <Ctrl + j> to copy Layer 1 copy 8 times, press <shift>, and click Layer 1 ", select all layers shown in 10-79.

Tip: press <Ctrl + j> to copy the layer. The copy layer will be copied in the original position.

(6) Select the "move" tool and click the "horizontal center distribution" button in the options bar of the tool. The horizontal center of each layer starts and the distribution layer is evenly separated, as shown in 10-80.

(7) press <Ctrl + E> to merge the selected layers to obtain the "layer 1 copy 9" layer. Copy the layer, select all layers, and click the bottom alignment button in the "move" tool option bar to adjust the position of the copy image, as shown in 10-81.

(8) cancel the selection. Copy the layer four times again and select the layer as shown in Figure 10-82.

(9) Select the "move" tool and click the "vertical center distribution" button in the option bar to center the white image vertically, as shown in Figure 10-83.

Tip: You can also use the "layer"> "distribution" command neutron menu command to map layers.
