If you do not set a password when creating an instance, or if you forget your password, you can reset the password for the instance.

The default user name for Windows instances is Administrator

The default user name for the Linux instance is root

The operation is as follows:

Log on to the Cloud Server Management Console.

Click an instance in the left-hand navigation bar.

Click the area at the top of the page.

Select the desired instance. You can select multiple, but the status of the selected instance must be the same.

Click Reset Password .

In the Prompt box that pops up, enter a new password and click Submit .

Get and enter the phone verification code. Click OK .

Select the instance where you just reset the password, and then click Restart.

　　Resetting the instance password will not take effect until the instance is restarted in the console. The restart is not valid in the instance.

In the pop-up prompt box, click OK to restart the instance.
