Allow external ip addresses to access your MySQL database in Linux

In Linux, allow external ip addresses to access your MySQL database:

1: Set the mysql configuration file

/Etc/mysql/my. cnf

Find bind-address = 127.0.0.1 and comment it out; // This will no longer allow local access only;

Restart mysql:/etc/init. d/mysql restart;

2: Enter the mysql database

Mysql-u root-p

Mysql> grand all privileges on *. * to root @ '%' identifies by 'xxx ';

The first * indicates the database name, and the second * indicates the table name of the database. If it is like the preceding *. *, it indicates that access is allowed from all tables to the database;

'%': Indicates the ip address that is allowed to access mysql. Of course, you can also configure the specific ip address. % indicates that all ip addresses can be accessed;

Followed by 'xxxx' as the root user's password;
