1. wireless network router configuration

1. enable WEP encryption. Open the router governance interface, "Wireless Settings"-% 26gt; "Basic settings": "Security Authentication Type" and select "automatically selected ", because "automatic selection" means automatic negotiation between "Open System" and "Shared Key", there is no difference in the security of the two authentication methods. Select "hexadecimal" for "Key format" and "ASCII code" for "ASCII Code". The settings here have no impact on security, because "hexadecimal" is required for setting "separate keys", we recommend that you use hexadecimal ". "Key selection" must be filled in the location of "key 2", which must be set here, because key 1 must be blank under the new upgrade program, the purpose is to work with a separate key (the separate key will be introduced in the following MAC address filtering). Otherwise, the connection may fail.

Select 64/128/152 bits for the key type. After the number of BITs is selected, the length of the "Key type" will change. In this example, we enter the 26-bit parameter 11111111111111111111111111. Because "Key format selection" is "hexadecimal ", therefore, the "key content" can be set to 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, a, B, c, d, e, f., save the settings. If you do not need to use the "separate key" function, the NIC simply needs to be configured as the encryption mode, the key format, and the key content must be the same as that of the router, you must also set the key to "WEP Key 2" (corresponding to the vro). Then you can connect to the vro.

2. Use of a separate key. MAC address filtering can specify that some MAC addresses can access the wireless network, while others cannot. The "separate key" function can specify a separate key for a single MAC, this key can be used only for NICs with this MAC address, but not for other NICs, which increases security. Choose "Wireless Settings"-% 26gt; "MAC address filtering". On the "MAC address filtering" page, click "Add new entry". The following figure shows the parameter interface for the wireless network router.

In this example, the MAC address of the TL-WN620G is 00-0A-EB-88-65-06, for "type", you can select "Promise", "forbidden", "64-bit key", "128-bit key", and "152-bit key". In this example, a 64-bit key is selected. "Promise" and "deny" are just simple promises or prohibitions on the passing of a certain MAC address. This is the same as the previous MAC address function and is not the focus here. The "key" is filled with 10 AAAAAAAAAA bits. There is no "Key format selection", and only hexadecimal input is supported. Select "status" to take effect. Click Save. After saving, the system returns to the upper-level interface.

Note that the status of the "MAC address filtering function" above is "enabled". If it is "disabled", the button on the right will change to "enable filtering ", click this button to enable this function. Now, the configuration of the wireless network router is complete! Open the TL-WN620G client application main interface-User File governance-% 26gt; modify to bring up the user profile governance dialog box. First, fill in the "General" page with the same SSID as the wireless router side-this example is "TP-LINK ". Click the "advanced" page. The red line outlines the Authentication mode, which can be the same as that of the wireless network router. Because the "Automatic Selection" mode is selected on the router, therefore, no matter what mode is selected, it can be connected.
