The pleasure of my first long exposure was to record the flow of traffic with a slow door, and then to record the state of the water, the vastness and magnificence of the sky, the recording of the star orbit all through the night, and the lightning in the weather. In my own experience, I learned to delay photography, and began to use dynamic means to record the scene. In the discovery of its dynamic beauty at the same time, also learned to use time-lapse photography and later synthesis to create a long exposure of the film, while making up for some of the shortcomings of exposure for a long time. Advantages of long-time exposure post-synthesis

First, watch two films first. The first one was a photo of a star track that I first used to directly use the B gate + shutter line for a long exposure.

The specific parameters above are: Nikon D600,17mm,iso 100,f8,3429.7s, nearly 58min exposure time, recorded in this nearly one hours in the sky track. But it is not difficult to see that a long time exposure is the image of more noise. A lot of people who know about long exposures should know how much exposure can hurt a digital camera for such a long time. And the noise in the picture is precisely because the exposure time is too long, there is hot noise, affecting the quality.

The other is a photo of the star-rail plus lightning that I've taken several times in the early stages of the synthesis.

The specific parameters of this diagram are: Early shooting using interval shooting, Nikon D600,35mm,f3.5,iso 500,30s, interval shooting time 30s, a total of 160 shots, the total length of the shooting 80min. As you can see, the noise in the film is well controlled, the details are recorded intact, and the orbit of the sky is the same as that recorded for a long time exposure.

Next look at a picture, is still a late synthesis, but a similar to the satellite movement in the picture left traces are intermittent, not connected, which is the interval between the time and exposure time of the gap caused by the middle of the breakpoint. About the late synthesis of the software we can use more, here I recommend a relatively simple software startrails, it is more convenient to use. After downloading and installing the software, our two-machine operation will pop up the following dialog box, let us choose the operation language, choose English click OK.

After understanding the software, it is time to deal with the photos, click on the Open Picture button, select all the photos to be synthesized, if you need to make up the foreground details, continue to click on the second button to add photos, then click on the Fifth button, which is the same as the Software icon button, into the composite

As shown above, there are two options, select the second, directly click OK, the software will begin to automatically synthesize the picture. If you select the first item, the following additional options are lightened, such as selecting the option in the following figure red box, which opens in the process of synthesizing a photo each of which stores a photo, path is the location where the photo is stored, and filename is the naming convention and picture format for the filename.

In the software automatic synthesis picture process, the software displays the synthesis progress at the bottom, if needs to terminate halfway, presses the ESC key, when the synthesis completes, clicks on the upper left corner saves the button, may the final picture save, also completes the entire synthesis process.

At the end of the article, I would like to tell you that a good later period can not make up for the early photo of too many deficiencies, so before this tutorial, we should first have a stable tripod and can hold the normal exposure of the delay photography techniques. ② this kind of late synthetic means can also be used to shoot the foreground with strong light, because the normal long exposure will make the foreground exposed, so compared to a single exposure time is shorter, in the late synthesis we can save more details.
