After Ubuntu is installed in Vmware, there is no problem with the shared folder. However, after Ubuntu is updated, the shared folder cannot be found in Ubuntu, and nothing is found in the hgfs directory. Unzip decompress, cannot find the compat-slab.h file.

Later, I re-Installed vmware-tools and carefully checked the vmhgfs installation process. I found that during the compilation process, make only reported one warning and there was no error at all. The compilation of this module was almost normal, on the other hand, there are problems with several other modules.
I was quite speechless when I solved the problem later.
The solution is very simple:
After Ubuntu is updated, manually uninstall vmware-tools. The command is as follows:
/Vmware-uninstall.pl
Note: You must manually uninstall it. If you reinstall vmware-tools without uninstalling it, although the program will be automatically uninstalled, the shared folder problem still cannot be solved!
After manual uninstallation, install vmware-tools to view the shared folder.
