This error was prompted when I rename the package in the android project today (not during the previous rename, depressing ):
An unexpected exception occurred while creating a change object. See the error log for more details
Shows the effect:
After that, Google searched Baidu and finally found a post on stackoverflow:
Http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6465127/rename-android-package-name-fails/15771033#15771033 (note: this solution is not the answer to the Post's adoption)
Solution:
You can not belive this. I have exactly the same problem and is because I comment a class entirely.
So I think that when eclipse try to change the package name of a commented class it throw this error.
To solve the problem you only has to delete the class or uncomment it.
This means that some classes in your project are "commented out all" (all the code in the entire class is commented out, that is, all the content in this class is comments without responding to the Execution Code), find these classes, and delete them. I tried this. After deletion, I can indeed rename it.
The blogger has encountered the same problem for a long time. Today, I saw this article solve the problem and specially reproduced it for learning only.
