Step 1: The wireless icon in the upper-right corner of the stand-alone desktop, the wireless network is automatically searched in the environment, as shown in the following figure.

Step 2: Click "Open Network Preferences" and go to the "Network preferences" screen, as shown in the following figure.

Step 3: Select the NIC (for example, the wireless network card) that you want to set the IP address for. Select Airport, and then click Advanced to go to the Airport Network Parameters Settings page. Select "TCP/IP" and go to the interface of the address set, as shown in the following figure.

Step 4: You can choose to configure IP or DHCP manually, depending on your actual network usage, and set the relevant parameters.

1. Configure IP manually: Open the "Configure IPv4" drop-down box, select "Manual", and manually specify the IP address parameters for the wireless network card. For example:

IP Address: 192.168.1.90

Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Router: can be filled in according to your network choice, in this case leave blank.

When you are finished, click OK to return to the network preferences interface, as shown in the following figure.

Click "Apply" to set the entry into effect.

2. DHCP, Computer automatically obtain IP address and other network parameters. Go to the AirPort network parameter Settings page, select "TCP/IP", and go to the Address Settings screen, as shown in the following figure.

Select Use DHCP to set up. Click OK to return to the Network Preferences page, as shown in the following figure.

Click "Apply" to make all settings effective.
