The following error message is encountered when using Microsoft SSIS to manipulate Oracle data sources:

[ADO NET Destination [13455]] Error: An exception occurred during data insertion, and the message returned from the provider was: Unable to cast an object of type "System.Decimal" to Type "system.char[]".

SQL statements:

Select  from TABLE WHERE B....

field A is number type, but there is a null value in the database, so error, only error message is not standard

SQL changed to

SELECT  Case  when  is  not NULL  Then ELSE 0 END  as A  from TABLE WHERE ...
