By default, windows recycle bin is distributed in the RECYCLER folder of each partition. after testing, it is found that the recycle bin in linux is in the./local/share/Trash directory of each current user.

We know that windows recycle bin is distributed in the RECYCLER folder of each partition by default. what about linux recycle bin?

After testing on ubuntu, I found that the recycle bin in linux is in the directory of every current user. /local/share/Trash, but you will find that there are several folders in this directory. for example, I deleted a file with the root account. The/root/. local/share/Trash/files scenario is as follows:

The/root/. local/share/Trash/filesq scenario is as follows:

It can be found that the file is not deleted and saved in files, while in the info Directory, the file with the suffix trashinfo is saved.

I think the file content is stored in the files Directory, while the corresponding file in the info Directory stores some location and permission information of the file. I wonder if -----

This is also true for Fedora.

In addition, we know that there is no Recycle bin for the default USB flash drive in xp, but it is different in linux. if you delete the USB flash drive file in linux, linux will generate a file in the root directory of the USB flash drive. trash file, of course, this file must be hidden to be visible, also in. the Trash directory contains files, which is similar to the info folder. It can be seen that the USB flash drive in linux also has a recycle bin. if you accidentally delete the USB flash drive file, you can quickly restore it in linux.

If we take the USB flash drive that has deleted files in linux to windows, windows does not consider it. the file at the beginning is a hidden file, so we can see that there are more similar files in the USB flash drive. trash files are the recycle bin files in linux. many people may find it strange many times. when we click it, we will find many files we have deleted before.

Due to the differences in data processing between linux and windows systems, sometimes data loss occurs when we switch back and forth between the two systems. Serious problems may cause a blue screen. What I 've experienced is that when I copy a file to a directory of a USB flash drive in windows, the computer blue screen restarts.

Then, run the chkdsk/f command to restore the data, prompting that the link contains invalid links:

Therefore, when using USB flash drives and other devices on linux and windows, follow the regular steps.

Sometimes, you can use the following method to clear the recycle bin in linux:
