There are two main ways to access the network using the HTTP protocol in Android:

• Using HttpURLConnection
• Using HttpClient

The main content of this paper is the use of httpurlconnection.

The httpurlconnection process is broadly divided into the following steps:

1. Get the HttpURLConnection object conn

2. Set the relevant properties of the Conn:

A) Setrequestmethod--get/post

b) setconnecttimeout

c) setreadtimeout

3. Get the input stream or set the output stream and perform the desired action.

4. Disconnect the Conn.
