Having previously talked about the creation and use of Android virtual devices in the eclipse environment, now that the Android Studio development tool has been upgraded, the corresponding Android virtual device should be upgraded together.
So we'll come together in this issue to learn how to create and use Android virtual devices in the Android Studio development environment.
First, Android virtual device portal
Last time we used Android studio to create the Heloworld project, to run the project, we first need an Android virtual device to simulate the operation of the Android program.
Reopen the Android Studio Development IDE tool as shown in:
You will find some changes to this opening, and the Android Studio project that you recently opened or created is listed on the left. Select the HelloWorld project we created in the previous period, such as:
Back to our familiar interface, as we are mainly learning how to create and use Android virtual devices in Android studio in this issue, we will follow up on other features.
Locate the AVD Manager button in the Android Virtual Device Management page.
Second, create Android virtual device
First-time access to the Android Virtual Device Management page such as:
Since we have not yet created the Android Virtual Device Management page, this will guide us through the creation. Select "Create Virtual Device" To enter the hardware selection page:
Select a suitable hardware environment and then the next step:
Start selecting our Android system image and proceed to the next step:
You can name the Android virtual device that we created, select the screen, or modify the device type or system image with "change" and then create it.
You can see that we have successfully created an Android virtual device. Of course, you can also continue to create additional virtual devices from the lower left corner.
This will also list all the virtual devices created when you enter the AVD Manager page later.
Third, use Android virtual device
If you find that the part of the virtual device you are creating needs to be corrected, you can do so by using "Edit".
If other actions are required, you can do so by the inverted triangle button on the right.
If everything is OK, you can start the Android virtual device you created by using the Start button.
Waiting for a while, the virtual appliance is up and you can see the same amount of virtual devices created in the previous eclipse.
Iv. Running Android Studio project
Android virtual device has been created, then we can start to run the Android Studio project that we created.
There are generally three ways to run the project:
1, through the tool bar running button to complete;
2, through the menu bar "Run"-"Run App" to complete;
3. Use the "Shift + F10" shortcut to complete.
Then launch the target Device Selection page, which will show all connected Android devices in the list:
Choose the Android virtual appliance that we created earlier, or you can create a new virtual device, or choose a link to a real machine.
If the project is run on the same device each time, you can tick the bottom left corner of the check box, late will not run each time the page pops up.
Select the OK button to install the project to the target device and start the project at the same time.
You can see the prompt statement below the Android Studio tool and wait a moment.
Finally we created the HelloWorld project purchase to run on the new Android virtual device and was done.
Today first to come here, if there are questions welcome message together to explore, also welcome to join the Android 0 Basic primer to master the Technical Exchange Group, common growth!
