The following dialog box is displayed when the simulator is started:

 

It actually asks if you want to display the logcat view to display the program information in this workspace.

If the program is incorrect, you can see the cause of the error from logcat. We recommend that you select yes.

Click OK and you will find an additional Logcat form.

How can I filter logs by level when android logcat outputs logs? For example, only logs of the I level are displayed, not those of the I level or above

Console or the Logcat view on Eclipse?
1. In the console, enter "adb logcat-s" *: I "in the console"
2. For the Logcat view on Eclipse, you can select the filter level as "info"
