First, Introduction
Android needs an XML file saved in the project root directory androidmanifest.xml,android will use this file to launch your application.
II. structure of the Androidmanifest.xml file
The,<manifest> tag in the Manifest XML file has 4 standard properties:
- <APPLICATION>: The Android:icon attribute of this tag points to the Icon.png file we put in the res/drawable directory. The Android:label property points to the name of the application stored in the String.xml file.
- <activity>: Declares an application's activity class by specifying a name in the Android:name property.
- <intnet-filter>: This tag specifies the action and type of the intent object that launches the application. The other action is Android.intent.category.MAIN, which means to start the Main.xml file. The species is Android.intent.category.LAUNCHER.
- <uses-sdk>: This tag specifies the minimum SDK version supported by the application through the Android:minsdkversion property.
Of course, there are some other tags:
- <service>: This tag declares the application's service class by android:name the specified name.
- <receiver>: This tag declares the application's broadcast sink class by android:name the specified name.
- <provider>: This tag declares the application's content provider by android:name the specified name. What content providers you need to access when your app starts.
