1. Obtain the geographic location

You can obtain a geographical location in two ways.

1) GPS

However, satellite requests require high signal strength, and many specialized hardware devices sometimes fail to meet the requirement. Therefore, 90% of mobile phones may obtain null using GPS.

2) network

This method is actually divided into two situations. Either wired or wireless.

1, wired

Because the wired network is fixed and the ip address of each access point is fixed, the ip address and location of the network have a one-to-one correspondence relationship. You can obtain the geographic location based on the ip address of the Access Point. However, such work seems to be done by the system or network provider, and does not need to be resolved by android Developers.

2. Wireless

Wireless Location is used by the base station. It is actually three points in mathematics. For example, a mobile company uses its base stations all over the country. If a device wants to connect to a wireless network, the three nearby base stations will determine the relative distance of visitors based on the signal strength, draw three gardens with a distance and obtain the approximate geographical coordinates based on the intersection of the three circles. 3. wifi

For example, some tablet computers cannot be inserted with NICs or mobile phone cards, and they access the network through wifi, therefore, the geographic location acquisition is roughly determined based on the geographical location of the wifi sharing device. Location GetLastKnownLocation (String provider) Returns a Location indicating the data from the last known location fix obtained from the given provider.
It accepts the parameters of a provider name. Generally, if the system is called:

 

GPS_PROVIDER and NETWORK_PROVIDER are easy to understand. One is the network, the other is gps, and the other is PASSIVE_PROVIDER.

This provider can be used to passively receive location updates when other applications or services request them without actually requesting the locations yourself. However, you can also manually obtain all the providers, because it is possible that some location providers have been added to the local device (the next part of the analysis is added to the system, that is, virtual geographic location ), I think most software is written in this way or should be written in this way, get all location providers, and then repeatedly ask for location:

The two methods are used. For the first parameter of the second overload method, it means the restriction condition class, that is, the qualified name is returned according to the provided restriction on the location provider.
