Recently I changed my computer and started to build an android development environment. The following error always occurs when I download the SDK:
[Java] view plain
Copy
Failed to fetch URL http://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/addons_list-1.xml.
It is said that the dl-ssl.google.com was strong in the Mainland, the great tianchao really don't let people live, the solution is to modify the c: \ windows \ system32 \ drivers \ etc \ hosts file. Add a row:
[Java] view plain
Copy
74.125.237.1 dl-ssl.google.com
Note that the hosts file is read-only and we do not have the permission to modify it. We need to copy the hosts file to the desktop or somewhere else, and then modify the Code as follows:
[Java] view plain
Copy
# Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample hosts file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the Mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# Entry shoshould be kept on an individual line. The IP address shold
# Be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name shocould be separated by at least one
# Space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# Lines or following the machine name denoted by a' # 'symbol.
#
# For example:
#
#102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
#38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # X client host
# Localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
#127.0.0.1 localhost
#: 1 localhost
// Add this sentence.
74.125.237.1 dl-ssl.google.com
Save and copy the modified hosts file to the c: \ windows \ system32 \ drivers \ etc directory. Replace the file !!! We will succeed when downloading the SDK again, for example:
Hey, you're done !!!
PS: In Mac or Linux, the hosts file is located in/etc/hosts. You can use sudo Vim/etc/hosts to edit the file.
