Android Development supports Windows (Windows XP (32-bit), Vista (32-, 64-bit), Windows 7 (32-, 64-bit)), Mac OS (>10.5.8), Linux (Ubu NTU Linux, Lucid Lynx etc). The most common development of Java applications is Netbean and Eclispe. But the Google recommendation is eclipse. Although there are Netbean plug-ins that support Android, the compatibility is not very good. So it's best to use Eclipse.

To be able to run debugging on the device, make sure that Google Usb Driver Package is selected. It can also be installed as needed, and the Android SDK and AVD Manager can run multiple updates.
Create a simulator to manage the Android emulator under virtual Devices
When you create the simulator, you specify the version of the target Android platform, which currently has a version of Android from 1.5 to 2.3, generally with a high version of backward compatibility. You can create a virtual machine for different versions of the Android platform, and it is recommended that you create more than two, which is more convenient for testing sms, phone call applications.
