Considering that the current wireless LAN networks are all made up of wireless routers, the efficient access to the wireless LAN is closely related to the status of the wireless router. If these phenomena are not promptly ruled out, the Internet access efficiency of the wireless LAN will be significantly affected. When using a wireless router for broadband dial-up Internet access, we may often encounter the strange phenomenon that the device cannot automatically dial. In this case, we can troubleshoot from the following aspects:

First, check whether your wireless router has obtained the permission from the local telecommunications department. If the device has not obtained the permission from China Telecom, then, when a Wireless Router performs a dial-up operation through the line provided by the local telecommunications department, it is prone to the failure of automatic dial-up. For example, a wireless router may be available in the South, but it may be abnormal in the north. To solve this problem, generally, you need to upgrade the firmware of the wireless router to ensure that the wireless router dialing is normal. Currently, the wireless routers and broadband routers released on the market are not compatible with the ADSL Network Line Equipment of the local telecom department. Even if these products are compatible with Dial-Up, however, faults such as dial-up disconnection may also occur during regular use. In fact, we can use the ADSL client device provided by the local telecommunications department for dial-up Internet access. After all, these devices have built-in PPPoE dial-up functions, this dial-up function is almost recognized by the local telecommunications department. Using the PPPoE dial-up function provided by the ADSL client can ensure that the dial-up Internet access is stable and fast.

Second, check whether the parameter settings of the wireless router are correct. In particular, check whether the MTU value is set correctly. When the dial-up Internet information is transmitted over the network, it is often automatically divided into data packets of different sizes. the MTU value parameter is used to specify the data packet size standard. The larger the MTU value, the larger the size of the data package. Theoretically, it can increase the transmission rate, but we cannot set the MTU value too large at will, after all, when the data package is too large, dialing information is prone to errors during transmission, especially when it does not match the local device parameters of the Telecommunications Department. Under normal circumstances, when using the PPPoE dial-up method to connect to the Internet, we can set the MTU value to the maximum 1492, if you use LAN to access the Internet, you can set the maximum MTU value to 1500. Therefore, when the wireless router cannot automatically dial, we can go to the background settings page of the device and check whether the MTU value of the device is 1492. If any error is found, it must be modified in time.

Let's see if the working method of the ADSL client access device is set correctly. Generally, the access devices of the ADSL client mainly include the adsl modem and the adsl router. The adsl modem only supports bridging, the adsl router supports both bridging and routing modes. Adsl router is a widely used broadband access device, which supports data encapsulation methods such as PPPoE, RFC-1483 bridging, PPPoA, enet encap, etc, if we are using an adsl router device and a wireless ROUTER device for networking, we must first connect the dial-up line through the adsl router device to the wireless ROUTER, then, the Wireless ROUTER performs the PPPoE dial-up operation. We also need to adjust the working mode of the adsl router device to the RFC 1483 bridge mode before connecting to the wireless ROUTER; finally, log on to the backend Management window of the wireless router, set the network access mode through the parameter setting wizard function, and select the ADSL PPPoE dialing mode when setting the access mode, at the same time, set the account information provided by the ISP service provider and the VPI/VCI parameters correctly. We believe that, after the above efforts, the failure of the wireless router's automatic dial-up will surely be able to be ruled out.

Puzzles about setting login failures for wireless routes

To make the wireless router work efficiently, we often need to set it correctly. However, when we try to log on to the WEB management page of the wireless router and set the parameters for wireless Internet access, we often encounter logon failures. How can we solve this fault?

There are two main reasons for this phenomenon: one is that the hardware factors such as line connection or wireless router are faulty, and the other is that the parameters of the wireless router or IE browser are improperly set. Hardware faults mainly include network connection cable disconnection, network connection connector looseness, abnormal computer system operation, and damage to intermediate equipment such as hubs or routers, in this case, the failure can usually be determined by observing the wireless router signal lights. Of course, the input voltage is not normal, the internal temperature of the equipment is too high, or the equipment is struck by lightning, it is also prone to hardware faults.

When we observe the data signal lights in the wireless router control panel, if we find that the signal lights flash intermittently, it means the line connection is normal. Once we find that the signal lights are not working properly, check whether the connection of the broadband line is in reliable contact, and whether the internal core is in short or disconnected status. During this check, we can use other normal cables for testing. After removing the cable, we need to go to the workstation to check the wireless network connection settings. For example, we can reset the IP address of the workstation Nic, if you find that you cannot log on to the wireless router when the IP address is automatically obtained, you can use a static IP address and disable the firewall used by the workstation system.

If the above troubleshooting method still does not work, we need to open the IE browser of the workstation system to check whether the connection settings of the program are correct. When performing this check, we can open the IE browser window and click the "Tools"/"Internet Options" command in the menu bar of the window, in the pop-up Internet option settings window, click the "connection" tab, select the "Never dial-up connections" item on the corresponding tab page, and click "OK. Then, click the "LAN Settings" button, clear all the settings in the subsequent settings window, and then click the "OK" button, and try entering the wireless router address in IE browser to log on to the connection.

If the problem persists, the only thing we can do is to restore all the parameters of the wireless router to the default factory settings and reinstall the driver of the corresponding device, if this method does not work, we can almost conclude that the wireless router has a hardware fault. At this time, only professional technical personnel are invited to solve the problem.

When using a wireless router for broadband dial-up Internet access, it is common that the Internet is frequently dropped. In addition to the network content we access, this phenomenon is also related to network virus attacks and parameter settings of wireless routers. To avoid this phenomenon, follow these steps to troubleshoot the problem one by one:

First, go to the background management interface of the wireless router and check whether the connection mode of the device is set correctly. Considering that common wireless routers often support more than three connection modes, by default, most wireless routers work in "On-Demand connection, automatically connect when there is access content. In other words, it regularly checks whether the dialing line is in the no-load status. If there is no data transmission interaction on the line after successful broadband dialing, the wireless router will automatically disconnect the current connection, so when we find that the wireless router works in the "On-Demand connection, automatic connection when there is access content" mode, you must log on to the wireless router backend settings window and select the "Automatic Connection, automatic connection after startup and disconnection" item in the connection method settings, finally, save the set parameters and restart the wireless router.

If the wireless router still cannot work stably after the above settings, it is necessary to check whether there is a network virus. During virus detection, we can use the latest version of anti-virus software to thoroughly scan and kill every "Corner" of the workstation system. After virus detection, you also need to enter the wks TCP/IP parameter settings interface, and try to use another IP address in this interface, so as to effectively avoid ARP network attacks. If the wireless router continues to fall offline, we need to use professional anti-attack programs to protect the wireless router.
