Apple and SAP collaborate to revolutionize mobile work experience

Apple today announced a new partnership with SAP designed to revolutionize the mobile work experience for enterprise customers by combining native Iphone/ipad applications and SAP HANA cloud platforms. To this end, two companies will create a new set of software development kits (SDKs) and training institutions to provide customized, business-specific iOS apps for developers and enterprise customers.

The new SAP Hana Cloud Platform SDK is dedicated to iOS, and enterprise customers can use simple tools to quickly and efficiently build Ios/sap Hana cloud Platform Applications for Iphone/ipad.

According to the press release, such native apps will provide access to core data and business processes on SAP HANA, while leveraging hardware features such as Apple's Touch ID, geolocation, and Notification Services. In this collaborative framework, it also launched a new SAP Fiori iOS design language, and SAP will help develop a native "business critical operations" iOS apps suite based on the Apple swift programming language.
