What is digital copyright management? In short, it refers to the digital copyright management based on mobile communication. In short, it includes protecting high-value media content, protecting videos, audios, and games, restricting use, and preventing piracy; open and maintain revenue streams. So how can we build real digital copyright security measures, especially the security of mobile digital copyrights?
Technology to combat piracy
SafeNetDRMMobile is a server-side mobile digital rights management (DRM) technology solution. The DRMMobile solution supports the complete DRM process: Content Protection, permission management, and license delivery to handheld devices.
DRMMobile's protection components fully comply with the DRM1.0 specification of the Development Mobile Alliance (OMA). They provide comprehensive protection for content and support protection methods such as forwarding locks, combined transmission, and separate transmission. It supports both pre-Protection of content and Protection of content delivery. The protection component also provides you with a Web service application programming interface (API), which allows you to easily integrate protection components with existing content delivery facilities.
The license component processes the license request and generates and delivers the license to the device. It also provides a simple HTTP (S) interface to generate and deliver licenses. Users can flexibly integrate license components into existing content portals and services.
The license component allows the copyright owner to define a permission set and associate it with specific content. Meanwhile, the Web-based graphical user interface and Web Service Interface facilitate integration with existing components.
The Open Mobile Alliance's DRM device includes a DRM agent, which manages permissions on the client. DRMMobile itself is a server solution. It is built based on Open Mobile Alliance's DRM specifications and supports many types of content and formats. The SafeNetDRMMobile solution fully complies with the DRM1.0 specifications of the Development Mobile Alliance and supports multiple delivery methods, such as forwarding locks, combined delivery, and separate delivery.
Prospective criteria
If the final version of the DRM2.0 specification of the Mobile Alliance is approved in the future, you can add support for the DRM2.0 specification to the DRMMobile solution. Due to the plug-in DRM architecture, other types of DRM technologies can be easily integrated into the solution.
DRMMobile solutions are built on multiple standards in the software industry, such as J2EE, SOAP, and web services. It can use a single platform and provide services to numerous content providers, copyright owners, and service providers by authorizing one or more administrators. The DRMMobile solution provides an open web service application programming interface set, which makes it easier to integrate with existing content management and delivery facilities.
