Many problems may occur during policy routing configuration. Next we will conduct an experiment on policy routing configuration. Traditional routes can only forward packets based on the destination address. Policy routes are relatively flexible and can forward packets based on the source address, Destination Address, protocol type, and packet size. During route forwarding, The vro matches the data packet according to the configured policy. If a policy is matched, The vro uses the policy to forward the packet, based on the route in the route table. The following is the policy routing configuration based on the source address.
Lab Topology
Lab requirements:
Policy Routing is performed on R2. The traffic destined for access to 3.3.3.0/24 from the source address 1.1.1.1/24 follows the 23.23.23.0/24 network segment, and the traffic destined for access to 3.3.3.0/24 from the source address 12.12.1/24 follows the 10.1.23.0/24
Policy routing configuration based on the source address:
When configuring a route based on the policy of the source address, first use the access control list to restrict the source address, then configure the policy, and then apply it to the interface.
After the configuration is complete, you can use the extension traceroute to verify the policy route.
On R1, use the route from 1.1.1.1 to 3.3.3.3 as the source address:
On R1, use a route from 12.12.12.1 to 3.3.3.3 with the source address:
