Generally, when we use excel2007/2003 to edit the document, as long as we can carefully operate to ensure that the input data security, this time does not need to use the excel2007/2003 protection function. But if we edit the data is to be consulted, it is difficult to avoid other people because of the wrong operation of the data loss, or inadvertently modify the data and affect the accuracy of the data, then excel2007/2003 protection function can play its role.
Protecting your entire workbook prevents others from deleting or adding worksheets in the workbook. In Excel2007, we select "Review"-"Protect Workbook"-"Restrict edits"-"protect Structure and Windows" (Excel2003 for tools → protection → protect workbook), as shown in Figure 1, and set the password below, as shown in Figure 2, When you re-enter it, you are sure to start protecting the workbook, and then the sheet in the Insert option becomes grayed out. To recover, you can select review-Protect Workbook-limit edits-protect structure and windows (Excel2003: tools → protection → undo Workbook protection), and enter a password, as shown in Figure 3.
