Generally, cPanel and Plesk panels that we may contact when purchasing and using overseas virtual hosts are mostly used in Linux servers, while Windows is commonly used in Windows. Recently, many netizens have seen the use of Plesk panels in Linux VPS and Windows servers. Of course, they have purchased the paid version, you can also use the official 15-day free Key test.
Plesk is a professional host management software developed by Parallels. It can help host providers and individual users quickly deploy websites and simplify management of user accounts, email systems, and website groups, of course, the Chinese interface is also supported and can be used in both Linux and Windows systems. Although it is not recommended that we purchase and use this panel (if we are a host provider, ).
Although the old Left has access to the Plesk panel in other host vendors (such as the Godaddy Windows host), it is not deployed in its own VPS. In this article, the old left will give the official 15-day free KEY application and deploy it to our Linux VPS host as a demonstration to see how the whole process works. If you really like it, you can also select.
1. Apply for a free 15-day Plesk panel Key
The code is as follows: |
Application address: http://www.odin.com/products/plesk/trial/
|
Log on to the application address above and you will see a similar table below.
We can fill in personal information based on the form, as long as the mailbox is real, other information is free, because the mailbox is used to accept the key, after submitting the application, I will receive the key in the attachment in about one minute.
In the email, we can see the document and the key in the attachment, and download it to the local backup. In this way, the Plesk panel KEY that we applied for free for 15 days has been completed, and we need to install it on our Linux server later, because the Windows environment is relatively simple to build, I generally like to use IIS to add sites and other management methods. Therefore, I will not share the Windows system Plesk panel installation in the article, if you have time to talk about it later.
2. Installation of Plesk panel on Linux server
1. Quick installation of Plesk script with one click
The code is as follows: |
Wget-O-http://autoinstall.plesk.com/one-click-installer | sh
|
Go to our Linux VPS host and execute the above script. If we are a Windows Server, the software download address is here.
When you see this interface, it indicates that the installation is complete. If the epel source cannot be found during execution, we need to load it before executing the script.
The code is as follows: |
Rpm-ivh http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/i386/epel-release-6-5.noarch.rpm
Yum clean all
|
After the installation is complete, you can log on with the address below after seeing the interface above.
The code is as follows: |
Https: // server IP address: 8443
|
The logon username and password are the ROOT account of our server.
2. Plesk initialization settings
After logging on to the Plesk panel for the first time, we must first agree to the terms and then set and modify the account password.
Set the host name and IP address.
We need to set a slightly stronger panel logon password. Then we enter the following interface and select the user management interface template. By default, there are only two templates, and we also need to set the personal information of our account.
3. Add the Plesk authorization file
Here, we need to upload the free authorization KEY we applied for at the beginning. Of course, if we purchased the authorization file, we will also add it. If you cannot find it, go to the left-side menu "Tools & Settings"-"License Management ".
After authorization, we have all permissions. For example, if we add various applications, we will not share them in detail here, because the official website has a very detailed document and it is in Chinese.
The code is as follows: |
Official Chinese document: http://download1.parallels.com/Plesk/PP11/11.5/Doc/zh-CN/online/plesk-installation-upgrade-migration-guide/
|
4. Set the simplified Chinese interface
The Chinese interface can be modified only after Authorization. It is easy to execute the following script.
The code is as follows: |
/Usr/local/psa/bin/admin -- update-locale zh-CN
|
After executing the command, we will see The Returned "SUCCESS: Administrator's preferences are successfully updated" instruction language. After the execution, we can see the Chinese language in the back panel, and we can choose to switch.
If we do not see simplified Chinese, we can go to the interface shown in the figure above (I have set it here), and then reset simplified Chinese.
In summary, from this article, we can get a simple understanding of the authorization file of the Plesk panel. It can be free for 15 days, but it is actually for 21 days, then we will install the panel in the Linux environment. The one-click installation method is very simple. For detailed usage, we can refer to the official documentation.
