Apply placeholder graphics in Dreamweaver mx

Placeholder graphics, as the name suggests, are temporary graphics that are used before you are ready to add final graphics to a Web page. It allows you to make a Web page without an ideal graphic--insert a placeholder shape where you need to use the graphic to "occupy" the "site" first.

　　First, insert placeholder graphics

Position the cursor where you want to insert the graphic; Select: Insert > Image placeholder the Image Placeholder dialog box appears, as shown in figure:

After setting the parameters, click "OK" to insert the placeholder graphic into the page, as shown in figure:

　　Replacement of Placeholder Graphics

1. When the page design is good, we need to use the correct graphics to replace the placeholder graphics. In Dreamweavermx (Dreamweaver MX) Select the placeholder graphic and open the Properties panel, click the "Create" button. 2. After making the desired graphics in fireworks MX and optimizing them, click the Finish button on the top of the canvas.

In the Save As dialog box that appears, take a filename for the archived PNG file and save it (so that it is easy to modify later), and then "save" the file after making the relevant settings in the Export dialog box that pops up.

If you draw a hot zone in fireworks MX and add a link, fireworks MX will not delete the link that has been added to the image placeholder in Dreamweaver mx, but if a slice is drawn on the image in fireworks MX, You will delete the links in the Dreamweaver MX document when you replace the placeholder graphic.
