ArcGIS Server 10.2 practice (5) Spatial ETL tool format conversion Service

Different map service platforms have diverse requirements on map file formats, and files used by ArcGIS are difficult to be used on other platforms, therefore, a format conversion service is required to overcome the trouble of using different platforms. The following uses the conversion from TIFF format to geotiff format as an example.

First, you need to prepare several items:

1. Make sure that ArcGIS data interoperability for desktop is installed.

2. Check data interoperability in the extended module of the custom menu.

3. Create a new toolbox in arctoolbox, right-click the toolbox, create, and select spatial ETL Tool to enter the wizard.

Select the format of the file to be converted. In this example, It is Tiff. Next, select the file to be converted. Next, select the format to be converted. In this example, It is geotiff.

 

 

After completion, the custom toolbox appears. Spatial ETL Tool

Then we use this format conversion tool to create our own model and drag and drop the spatial ETL tool into the model editor.

Set the input file as a parameter and publish the running result to serve the user.

Note that the input file here cannot use files output by other tools in the model, but must be files in the file system. Therefore, problems may occur when used together with other tools, we recommend that you create a model separately for release.
