Environment: This machine installs ArcGIS Server10.2,arcgis desktop10.2,64 bit oracle11g and Oracle32 bit client. Direct Connect and service connections are successful.
Problem: I want to do the service release, in order to avoid data packaging upload to the server, so I would like to register the database, the registration interface to fill in the following parameters:
Then click OK to display the interface as follows:
When I click OK again, the server detects the connection to the database and, after a while, reports the machine: [Oracle: (NULL)] Error:
The database is then checked for normal connections. In database connections, using the above parameters to connect to the Oracle database, it is found that the connection is normal. It was then suspected that it was not clear whether a 32-bit or 64-bit connection driver was used when a 32-bit client and a 64-bit database were installed to cause the server to connect to the database. Originally intended to change the environment variables of the computer, so that the path of the 64-bit database remains the first bit. However, due to the urgency of the service release, you want to register the folder, the other services first released. As a result, there was an error registering the folder, this time the report was not authorized error: The ArcGIS Server is not able to connect to the specified directory. Please ensure the folder exists and have the appropriate permissions for the ArcGIS Server to access it.
Then I remember to install the server when the creation of an operating system account, I am not logged in the account, so I can't register folders. Errors in registering a geodatabase can also be caused by this cause. And I continue to want to use the Administrator account login, so in the computer--management--Local Users and groups, my native ArcGIS Server account is set to the Administrators group, so that the accounts also belong to the Administrators group.
After setting up, then registering the folder will not eject the error without permission. At this point I then use the database connection parameters above to register the Geodatabase, is also normal.
