Alsamixer after running press letter M (Mute by B)
This article is mainly about the implementation of the multi-sound streaming under arch gnome and the opening of event sound effects (that is, background music like window or KDE's open machine, and some sound effects during operation)
Note: The sound card supports the hardware mix friend, does not need to aim at the younger brother's Raven,
1. Install the required packages
#pacman-sy alsa-driver alsa-lib alsa-oss ESD Gnome-audio GStreamer
(plus parameter y is mainly to update the software library to ensure that the software can download the correct package, ESD is Esound Sound Drive
If you only want to use multiple sound flow, you can only install Alsa-driver alsa-lib alsa-oss GStreamer, or only install ESD with Esound to achieve multiple sound flow, but personally feel esound and alsa compared, or ...
GStreamer is used to set the sound-driven service.
2. Basic settings. Save the following as/etc/asound.conf (global setting) or $HOME/.ASOUNDRC
(Multi-sound streaming only with esound, this step can be skipped)
pcm.card0 {type Hwcard 0}pcm.! Default {type PLUGSLAVE.PCM "Dmixer"}pcm.dmixer {type Dmixipc_key 1025slave {PCM "hw:0,0" Period_time 0period_size 1024buffer_size 8192periods 128rate 44100}bindings {0 01 1}}
3. Set Sound Driver
Run the following
#gstreamer-properties
If you only want to use Esound to achieve multiple sound flow, the sound output and input set to Esound, that is.
The ALSA-driven multi-tone flow is set to ALSA.
In this, the multi-tone flow set is over, the bmp, xmms, mplayer, gaim ... such as the sound driver set to Esound or Alsa sound driver on OK, can have a variety of sound at the same time.
4. Turn on event sound (sounds)
Preferences-"Sound effects-" Select Start sound Service, event produces sound effects.
Log off and restart Gnome to hear the comfort of the recording.
Tips:1. The sound effect of gnome-audio is not very good, the hearing effects are bad. Can be in/opt/gnome/share/sound/
The corresponding WAV file to replace their own DIY. I took Ubuntu's audio theme copy to Arch Linux.
Use (more like Ubuntu's power-on sound effect gives you a feeling of being in nature, cool!! Much better than XP,)
2. To start with RealPlayer #aoss Realplay (Realplay only supports OSS-driven)

Latest report: Finally set up their own multi-channel
method is to follow the landlord's method, but to add a little
is a BMP settings, I have been using BMP and Gxine at the same time to test the success of the multi-sound flow, but has not been successful.
The cause is a BMP setup issue:
Turn on my BMP (music player)---> Preferences----> Plugins----> Output-----> Current Output plugin----> select "ALSA 0.97 output plugin"
Do not close the dialog box after selecting, and then press "preferences" below. At this time * out of the "Alsa Driver Settings" dialog box
under the Device Settings tab under the "Audio device" option, I have "default", "hw:0,0", "hw:1,0"
My original default settings like hw:0,0, In this way BMP looks like the sound card will be exclusive mode, as long as there are other programs in the occupation of the sound card, BMP will not run, said that the sound card is occupied, if the first run BMP, the sound card accounted for, and then the other program has no sound output.
Later, I changed the settings to Default, bmp and Gxine and Lumaqq and other programs to the multiple-tone flow into effect.

Here to remind brothers, if you encounter the same situation as mine, pay more attention to the BMP device settings options.
