Ubuntu has several official versions based on different desktop environments. The default Ubuntu built-in Unity desktop, Kubuntu is KDE, Lubuntu uses LXDE, Xubuntu comes with Xfce. In addition, there are some other versions, but these are the most popular official desktop versions.
How do you choose the Ubuntu that best suits you? One way is to download ISO images of different versions of Ubuntu and run them in real time through Live CD or USB. However, this means that you will download multiple ISO files and write them to the USB disk or Live CD one by one. A little troublesome, right?
This is why Ubuntu AIO (all in one) appears. This project was initiated by some members of the Start Ubuntu team. the aio dvd of Ubuntu allows you to try Ubuntu Unity, Lubuntu, Xubuntu, and, different versions such as Kubuntu and Ubuntu Gnome.
Of course, Ubuntu AIO also has some disadvantages. First, it is too large, with nearly 4.7 GB. Therefore, it is not suitable for the Standard 4 gb usb flash drive (You have to burn it to a CD or virtual CD ). It has only two versions. The first version is the 64-bit version, including Ubuntu, Kubuntu, and Ubuntu Gnome. The other version contains the 32-bit version of Xubuntu and Lubuntu. Despite the disadvantages, this is a good project and can help us select the right Ubuntu version.
