Assign shortcut keys to common symbols in Word2010

By assigning shortcuts to common symbols in Word2010 documents, users can enter common symbols directly from the keyboard. The shortcut key here refers to the key combination of CTRL or ALT with one or more letters and symbols. The steps to assign a shortcut key to a common symbol in Word2010 are described below:

In step 1th, open the Word2010 document window and switch to the Insert Ribbon. Click the symbol button in the symbols group, and click the more symbols option, as shown in Figure 1.

Then press one or more letters or symbols (such as ctrl+z) while holding down the CTRL or ALT key, and then click the Specify → close button, as shown in Figure 3.
