AutoCAD Sketch Setup (Drafting settings)

AutoCAD provides users with a variety of drawing aids, such as raster, capture, orthogonal, polar axis tracking and object capture, and other tools similar to the use of manual drawing of the grid paper, triangular board, you can more easily and more accurately create and modify graphics objects. These accessibility tools can be set by users through the Drafting Settings dialog box to make them more flexible and easy to use for drawing.

3.2.1 Instance 2 using Capture and grid (SNAP and grid)

Step 1 Open a graphics file

In AutoCAD 2002, open the graphics file created in instance 1 "EXAM3-1.DWG";

Step 2 set snap and grid

(1) Select menu "Tools" → "Drafting Settings ... (Sketch setup), pop-up The Drafting Settings dialog box and select the Snap and grid (SNAP and Grid) tab, as shown in Figure 3-12.

(2) Select the snap on (enable capture) and the grid on (enable grid) switch, open the capture and grid mode, set the contents as shown in Figure 3-12, and press the key to confirm.

(3) There is now a dot array on the screen, that is, grid (grid); When the user moves the cursor, it is found that the cursor can only be stopped at the grid point near it, and the grid points can be precisely selected, but it is not possible to select places other than the grid point, which is called snap (SNAP). As shown in Figure 3-13. Now use these two features to quickly and accurately draw. In the following drawing process, the user does not need to enter the point coordinates in the command line, but can directly use the mouse to accurately capture the target point.
