In the previous DHCP server learning process, we know that some configuration operations are still troublesome. Here, we need to back up and restore the DHCP server configuration information. The specific operations are also summarized below. In network management, backing up some necessary configuration information is an important task, so that when the network fails, the correct configuration information can be restored in a timely manner to ensure the normal operation of the network. DHCP server configuration is no exception. In the Windows 2003 Server Operating System, the DHCP server configuration backup and restoration functions are also provided.
Step 1: Open the DHCP console, expand the "DHCP" option in the console window, select the created DHCP server, right-click the server name, select "backup ". 1)

By default, the configuration information of the DHCP server is stored in the "windows \ system32 \ dhcp \ backup" directory of the system installation disk. If necessary, we can manually change the backup location. Click OK to back up the configuration file of the DHCP server. 2)

Select the folder we used during Backup and click "OK". A "close and Restart service" dialog box will be displayed, after "OK" is selected, the DHCP server automatically restores the original backup configuration. Figure 3)
