Backup tips for Linux Fedora

As we all know, there is no default installation of backup software with GUI in Fedora.

We can go to Software Center to search for "backup" or "DUP" to install Deja-dup for backup, this software is set in Ubuntu "Backup", but Ubuntu integrated it into the system.

Unlike Ubuntu, however, there are some problems with this software in fedora, with insufficient permissions and some folders that fail to be backed up.

So, we need to execute it with root privileges.

We first switch from the GUI interface to the root user, using it once. (The necessity of this step is doubtful, perhaps this step can be omitted, but I have opened it once, and it is impossible to test.) You must have done exactly that.

In the following days, we can do this in the terminal:

[email protected] ~]$ su

[Email protected] chenyansu]# deja-dup-preferences

The root user's deja-dup is now open.

1. Su is not Su-

2. You must switch to root and do not use sudo
