Hello everyone.

We have been discussing the 6.22 and 6.28 events on the Internet recently. We feel it is necessary to explain what happened here.

In order to improve the search experience of Baidu users and make the Internet ecosystem develop healthily, we have recently updated some anti-cheating policies and features that will gradually take effect on the evening of June 21. This update controls the presentation of low-quality sites in search results. Low-quality sites refer to: No original or pseudo-original sites (few original content, A large amount of collected content or machine-generated/modified content); this part of the site is not designed for end users, but just to get traffic from the search engine.

As we all know, we cannot provide details about the updated policy.

In our evaluation, this upgrade will affect 5% of search traffic. For ordinary users: the search experience will be improved, and the affected Query will present higher quality and more authoritative results. For webmasters who provide high-quality and original resources, because we have reduced or even cleared the rankings of low-quality sites, you will get more traffic from Baidu.

Although our policy has achieved a very high accuracy, it is still inevitable that there will be errors. If you are sure that your site is handled incorrectly, please feedback through http://tousu.baidu.com/webmaster/suggest. Although we cannot reply to feedback one by one, we will carefully analyze each online feedback and reflect the analysis results to the next update.

Here, I reiterate Baidu's position: to provide high-quality results for Internet users and ensure the healthy development of the Internet ecosystem. Therefore, we encourage original high-quality content (meaning more traffic returns ), cheating/low-quality content will never be tolerated. We will constantly update the entire sorting system to ensure that it is in the correct position.
