Baidu's latest advertising auction system "Fengchao" will be launched in the second quarter of this year as scheduled, and the system is currently in the final testing phase. The day before yesterday, Baidu vice president of marketing Shi Youcai revealed in an interview with Daily Economic News that "Fengchao" is a brand new system for advertisers to carry out background management.
Shi Youcai said that the "Fengchao" system is not the second marketing product of Baidu following the bidding rankings, but an upgraded version of the background operating system.
According to industry analysts, one of the purposes of the "Fengchao" system may be to gradually divert advertisements from the search content on the left of Baidu.
At the time when the "Fengchao" system was exposed, closely following the Baidu crisis at the end of last year, there were rumors that Baidu launched the "Fengchao" system to try to dilute the influence of the incident. Shi Youcai denied this. He said that the "Fengchao" system began development as early as the end of 2007, and the test was started in the fourth quarter of last year. The launch was just a result of a time-ripe time, "It just happened to happen to me."
Shi Youcai also said that after the incident, Baidu strengthened its management of the marketing team. Agents in different regions not only have performance assessment requirements, but also emphasize credibility and corporate culture. (Source: Daily Economic News author: Zhuang Chunhui
