Click the Page Setup button on the Bartender 10.1 main menu bar, and in the Page Setup dialog box that pops up, use the orientation option to specify whether the printer will print the item "Landscape" or "portrait". In the publishing industry, "portrait" always refers to the length of the printed paper is greater than the width, and "horizontal" refers to the broad long of the paper. However, in the label printing industry, these terms have different meanings. Quite simply, "portrait" means that the printed page or label does not rotate relative to the direction of the paper, whereas "landscape" refers to a printed page or label that rotates 90 degrees.
For example, in the following illustration, both labels are the same height and width. The only difference between the two is that the label on the right has been rotated to "landscape".
Note: You can also change the orientation of a page or label by using the printer's orientation option from the Printer Settings dialog box in Windows Control Panel.
Depending on your printer selection, you can also choose Portrait 180 or Landscape 180. Vertical 180 refers to the label relative to the direction of the paper movement upside down; Similarly, horizontal 180 refers to a "horizontal" direction, except that the label is rotated clockwise.
