Original GIS basic software and operation (11)
Practice Xi. 3D Visual analysis
1, the geographical data for perspective observation, three-dimensional browsing;
2. Make flying animation
GIS data three-dimensional display
(1) Run the program: [Start menu]>>[All Programs]>>[arcgis]>>[arcscene], open ArcScene
(2) Execute the command in Arcscene: [Custom]>>[Extension Module], select the [3D Analyst] Extension module, click the [Add Data] button in Arcscene (as indicated by the red Front), and the layer (Roads, bldg, Ortho.lan , Dtm_tim) is added to the current scene.
(1) Close layer [Dtm_tin] Display
(2) Right-click on the layer [Ortho.lan] in the Layer Column surface panel (TOC), open the Layer Properties dialog box, and on the [Basic height] Options page, set the elevation of the surface to: [Float on custom surface] and select the tin data layer in the current scene: [Dtm_tin] (as shown ), where [2] is used to convert the layer elevation value to the scene unit factor, the elevation is exaggerated twice times. Click [OK] to exit
(1) Set the properties of the layer [Roads], [bldg] in the same way, and set the exaggeration factor uniformly to [2]
(2) for layer [bldg], further settings [extrude] and [symbology] options are also required
By setting the stretch expression to [height*2], the height of the building will be based on the attribute field
Data determination for [HEIGHT]
Assign a different color to each building by setting the [symbology] option
(1) After the completion of the effect as shown: You can click on the [Toolbar] Query button, query the properties of each building
Get familiar with the functions of the buttons in [tools] by manipulating
where the [flight] button has two states, indicating that the flight is flying, indicating that the flight speed can be accelerated by clicking the left mouse button, by the right mouse button can slow down the flight speed, until stopped, by moving the mouse can adjust the direction of flight, height.
(1) The three-dimensional scene in Arcscene can be exported as a two-dimensional picture or a three-dimensional VRML file [. wrl],vrml files can be browsed or viewed with glview, and normal internet browsers can be browsed by installing plugins, So the three-dimensional scene exported to VRML can be published on the Internet.
Three-dimensional flight animation production
(1) Recording Flight animation: Open the three-dimensional scene document in Arcscene [Animation.sxd], right-click on the toolbar display, open [3D analysis], [animation], [standard tools] three toolbars
- Click the Animate Control button () on the [Animation] toolbar to open the Animation control toolbar,
- Click the [Record] button () in [animation control];
- Select the [Fly] tool in [tools]
- Then in the map display area along any route to fly, (time is not recommended more than 30s), and then click the right mouse button until the flight stopped;
- Click the Stop button [] in the [Animation control] tool, stop recording, click the Play button, play the recorded animation
Added note: Recorded animations can be dumped into video files (such as AVI files) and can be further used to make video discs
With the help of Arcscene and Arcglobe, complex 3-D and data visualization applications can be implemented, and a step-by-step understanding of ArcGIS's three-dimensional analysis can be made by using the ESRI electronic document
