Batch upgrade Kingsoft drug overlord in LAN

Kingsoft drug overlord 6 is favored by users because of its powerful anti-virus function and rapid upgrade. It has a large number of loyal user groups. To avoid endless viruses, you need to update your virus database immediately. However, if you are a network manager, it is not easy to upgrade each computer on the network. The workload is heavy, boring, and tedious. In fact, you only need to simply set it on the server to implement batch automatic upgrades of Kingsoft drug overlord 6 in the LAN, freeing you from heavy repetitive work.

　　I. Server Side settings

To avoid adding a new burden to the network server, we recommend that you select a machine with better configuration in the network as the upgrade server of Kingsoft drug overlord. Of course, you can also directly operate on the network service.

1. On the Kingsoft drug overlord page, click "Tools> online upgrade". In the displayed "select upgrade mode" dialog box, select "upgrade from Internet ". Click "Next", select a suitable server for downloading, and follow the wizard prompts to complete the settings.

2. open Resource Manager, go to Kingsoft's installation directory "KAV6", right-click the "UpDate" folder, and choose "properties" from the shortcut menu to open the "properties" dialog box, click the share tab to share the folder.

3. connect to the Internet and upgrade the virus database.

Note: We recommend that you set "user limit" to the maximum number of users. Then, click "permission" to set the sharing permission to "EveryOne" and the permission control to "read ", click "OK" to complete the server settings.

　　Ii. Client settings

Perform the following operations on each computer on the client:

1. on the Kingsoft drug overlord page, click the "Tools> online upgrade" option. In the displayed "select upgrade mode" dialog box, select "upgrade from local network or LAN ", click "Next ". In the pop-up "select path" window, click "Browse" to go to the "UpDate" folder under the "KAV6" directory on the server through "Network neighbors", as shown in 1, click "OK. In this way, we can upgrade Kingsoft drug overlord from the server on the local LAN. However, the following operations must be performed to achieve automatic and scheduled upgrades.

2. Click "Start> program> attachment> System Tools> Task Plan" to bring up the "Task Plan" window. In this window, click "Add new task plan" to bring up the Add wizard dialog box. And click open. Next, set the time and frequency of the Upgrade Program as needed, as shown in figure 2. Finally, enter the username and password required to log on to the upgrade server.

3. after the task is completed, double-click the task scheduler. In the pop-up window, in the "run" column, add the "/continue" parameter after an empty box while keeping the original content unchanged, 3. The "/continue" parameter is automatically updated based on the previous upgrade method. In this way, no Upgrade prompt is displayed during the upgrade. The Overlord will automatically remember this setting. The next time you need to upgrade, the Overlord will automatically upgrade from the local LAN without having to reset it.
