For some users of Windows, the Vista version is special and many operations are different from those of other versions. So here we will focus on the deployment of its FTP server. Deploying lan ftp servers makes it easy for users to upload and download resources. It is the best solution for LAN file sharing. We know that we can build the XP system into an FTP server. Vista has now entered the user's computer. How can we deploy an FTP server with Vista?
1. Install IIS in Vista
Open the "control panel" Window of the Vista operating system, click the "program" option in the window, and click the "open or close Windows function" link on the page that is enabled. In the displayed dialog box, expand the "Internet Information Service" option and select the "FTP Publishing Service", "FTP server", and "FTP Management Console" options. (Figure 1)
To prevent the FTP server from being started due to a lack of services, it is best to check the "WEB Management Tools" and "World Wide WEB Services" options at the same time. Click OK to install Internet Information Service ". (Figure 2)
Tip: IIS of XP is installed through "Add/delete Windows Components" in the "add or delete programs" Window of "Control Panel", which is slightly different from Vista installation path.
