Kaspersky Lab, an international leading provider of information security solutions, has released Kaspersky Anti-Virus Linux File Server 6.0 beta for Linux file servers.

Before infecting other components on Heterogeneous Networks, malicious programs can penetrate Linux file servers, such as workstations running Microsoft Windows. Although Linux systems are well known for their reliability, they still need to be protected. Moreover, the number of malware compiled for Linux systems is also increasing year by year.

Kaspersky Antivirus Linux File Server 6.0 provides perfect anti-virus protection solutions for most Linux file servers. The new product will replace and surpass the previous Kaspersky Anti-Virus Linux File Server 5.7 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus Samba server 5.5. Some new features will be added on the basis of integrating the features of the above two products.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus Linux File Server 6.0 architecture can provide multi-level protection for file systems based on Linux and heterogeneous networks, and can simultaneously act on the entire file system and Samba server layer.

This product fundamentally provides a wider range of management solutions. Its new webpage-based control interface, the Kaspersky Web Console, provides comprehensive management functions, allowing administrators to access and manage Web browsers on any computer.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus Linux File Server 6.0 supports all popular 32-bit and 64-bit Linux operating systems, including Red Hat, Fedora, SUSE, openSUSE, Debian GNU, and Ubuntu. In addition, compared with the old version, Kaspersky Anti-Virus Linux File Server 6.0 has added support for Novell Open Enterprise Server 2 and Novell NSS, this makes it easy for Novell Netware users to transition to a new operating system.

Kaspersky Lab invites you to participate in beta testing of Kaspersky Anti-Virus Linux File Server 6.0. Our developers expect to receive constructive feedback on all aspects of the new product, especially the new technologies we adopt. You are welcome to send feedback to the linuxfs@kaspersky.com.
