Bind

Reason for listing: BIND (Berkeley Internet Name Domain Server) is the most commonly used DNS server software on the internet today. The DNS server using bind as the server software accounts for about 90% of all DNS servers. The first bind version dates back to 1980s. It was developed by four graduate students at Berkeley University and released together with 4.3 BSD. It can be said that it is a global standard DNS server.

Users who do not have access to Linux should have seldom heard of BIND. Because the operating systems of most servers in the world are Linux/Unix, and these Linux/Unix are bundled with bind, the share of BIND is very high.
