ln [-SF] source file destination file

-S: Symbolic connection, if no parameter is a hard connection

-F: If the destination file already exists, delete it first and then establish the connection

A hard connection simply writes more than one associated data to a block in a directory and does not use the Inode and disk space. A symbolic connection generates a new inode, which is a new file generated.

The file size is the length of the file name string. Therefore, when you delete a hard-connected source file, the file still opens normally, and the source file for the symbolic connection is deleted, the symbolic connected file cannot be opened.

DD command: DD if=input_file of=output_file bs=block_size count=number.
