Usually use the Linux, but are in the virtual machine inside run or with a mobile hard drive, with a hard drive as long as there is a computer can use their own system, very convenient.

But suddenly found a serious problem, is a virtual machine in a Linux, the hard disk inside a Linux, so that the data to be used to copy each other to copy, it is troublesome.

Through the online search, or found a solution (degree Niang please accept my knees) ...

To boot a system from a virtual machine into a removable hard drive:

Reference: http://blog.csdn.net/cuipengchong/article/details/47911631

Step 1:

Create a virtual disk with VBox's own tool (seemingly a boot):

First go to Disk Manager and look at the sequence of moving disks:

My disk 2 Here is my mobile hard disk, 80G that partition installed Kali Linux, can start normally.

Then run cmd as Administrator, enter the VBox installation directory, enter the command

Vboxmanage internalcommands createrawvmdk-filename J:\Vbox\usbDisk.vmdk-rawdisk \\.\physicaldrive2

Where j:\Vbox\ is the directory where the virtual disk is placed (the one mentioned above), \\.\physicaldrive2 here 2 means that the Linux system I want to boot is in Disk 2.

See the RAW host disk access VMDK file J:\VBOX\USBDISK.VMDK created successfully this section is a good illustration of success.

Step 2:

Booting from a removable hard disk inside a virtual machine:

Run VBox as an administrator, create a new virtual machine, store there to choose the one generated above the USBDISK.VMDK other configuration is consistent with the system on the hard drive,

Now it can start up normally.
