Breaking the shackles of Windows XP

Windows XP is undoubtedly a relatively stable and secure system with a vast majority of user groups. But there are some restrictions that make people feel struggling. Let's break the shackles together, free the system, and gain the initiative of the computer.
1. Uninstall system components.

In this regard, Microsoft is indeed not authentic enough to prepare "add and delete programs" for non-system software, but some of its components are bundled in the system and there is no "path" to unload, even some "chicken ribs" that are not needed at all ".

(1) special tools.

For example, to uninstall "IE", we only need to use a special tool-"Pantheon. XP (IE deletion expert)" to completely clear IE. Using IE to delete experts, You can uninstall IE3.0 to IE6.0 Browsers without leaving any trace in the system. Users can use the ieremove.exe file in a simple way. In the pop-up window, click "start to delete", and then select "yes" (figure 1) in the pop-up warning dialog box ), after the restart, IE has been completely deleted.

(2) take the "backdoor ".

For example, uninstall Windows Messenger. Procedure:

First, back up the sysoc. inf file (in the Windows Installation Directory infsysoc. inf) so that it can be restored to the original state when necessary. Next, open Sysoc. inf file, delete the word hide in the msmsgs line (do not delete the comma), set msmsgs = msgrocm. dll, OcEntry, msmsgs. inf, hide, 7 changed to msmsgs = msgrocm. dll, OcEntry, msmsgs. inf, 7, and then save Sysoc.. Now you can see the Windows Messenger component in "Add/delete Windows Components. Click "start" menu/settings/control panel, double-click "add or delete programs", and click "Add/delete Windows components", without selecting "Windows Messenger ", click "Next". Wait a moment and press "finish" to uninstall the instance. The method for deleting other system components is similar.

2. DirectX upgrade.

"DirectX" is an application interface that enables games or multimedia programs on windows platforms to achieve higher execution efficiency and enhance 3d graphics and sound effects, it also provides designers with a common hardware driver standard, so that game developers do not have to write different drivers for each brand of hardware, and reduce the complexity of hardware installation and setup. Windows XP SP1 Professional Edition and Windows XP Home edition are DirectX 9.0b. If your system does not have an SP2 Patch, you need to install some multimedia software or some new games, you must upgrade DirectX 9.0b to DirectX 9.0c. However, you cannot directly upgrade the instance using the conventional method. You can use the following method:

(1) software method.

Unload with DirectX (: http://www.newhua.com/soft/181.htm)

(2) file replacement method.

You must download both DirectX9.0b and DirectX 9.0c and decompress the package. Copy the dsetup32.dll and dsetup. dll in DirectX 9.0b. Paste the above two files into the Installation File of DirectX 9.0c, so that you can install it successfully.

3. Break through the XP Network Connection blocking.

Windows XP SP2 prohibits applications from opening more than 10 TCP connections, which may lead to some network software, such as slow supply speed and card. Solution:

(1) Thunder

Run thunder, Run "tool-XP system optimization tool", set the number of TCP connections, and restart the computer.

(2) Special Tools

Download and run the "Windows XP SP2 connection restriction patch" and restart your computer.

4. Remote Login by multiple users.

Xp supports only one user to log on. When another user logs on, the current user is forced to log out. Solution:

(1) file replacement method

Replace the file c: Windowssystem32, c: indowssystem32dllcache with the TermSrv. DLL file in Windows 2003. Then modify the Registry to add the multi-user license for the terminal server.

@ Echo off

Setlocal

Set regkey = "HKLMSYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlTerminal ServerLicensing Core"

Reg add % regkey %/v EnableConcurrentSessions/T REG_DWORD/D 1/f

Endlocal

Save the preceding content as a batch of command files, such as AA. BAT. Double-click and execute it.

(2) download and install the "Windows XP SP2 Remote Multi-User Login patch"

After installation, you can allow two different accounts to log on at the same time to facilitate remote management of Windows XP SP2.

5. Install IIS on the home XP System

(1) Prepare a Windows 2000 installation CD. Assume that your home version of Windows XP is installed in "C: Windows", start the Notepad program, and then select "C: Windowsinfsysoc" in the dialog box. inf, find the [Components] section, and continue to find something similar to "iis = iis. dll, OcEntry, iis. line inf, hide, 7, replace this line with "iis = iis2.dll, OcEntry, iis2.inf, 7", and save the file.

(2) Insert the Windows 2000 Professional edition cd into the optical drive and use Winrar to open iis under the i386 directory of the CD. dl _ and iis. the in _ files in the two CAB formats will be decompressed to obtain the "iis. dll is changed to iis2.dll and copied to the C: Windowssystem32setup directory. change inf to iis2.inf and copy it to the C: Windowsinf directory.

(3) Open the control panel, click the "add and delete programs" icon, and then click the "Add/delete Windows Components" button in the left-side navigation bar of the window, in the "Windows component wizard", select the check box before "Internet Information Service (IIS. Click the "details" button in the lower-right corner to open the dialog box. In this dialog box, you can select the content of the IIS component to be installed. After the selection is complete, click "OK", return to the interface, and click "Next", the system will start copying the file.

(4) After the installation is complete, you can open "Control Panel> performance and Options> Management Tools" to view "Internet Information Service Management ". Open IE, enter "http: // localhost" in the address bar, and press enter to verify that IIS is running properly. After verification, several services such as WWW and FTP can run properly on Windows XP Home Edition After such modification.

6. Family XP system group strategy (gpedit. msc)

(1) set gpedit in the C: WINDOWSsystem32 folder of the XP Professional Edition. msc, fde. dll, gpedit. dll, gptext. dll, wsecedit. copy the dll file to the "C: WINDOWSsystem32" folder of the HOME Edition.

(2) In "start -- run", run the following command in sequence: "regsvr32 fde. dll and regsvr32 gpedit. dll and regsvr32 gptext. dll and regsvr32 wsecedit. dll "respectively register these four dynamic link libraries.

(3) copy and replace all *. adm files in the "C: WINDOWSINF" folder of the XP Professional edition with the "C: WINDOWSINF" folder of the HOME Edition.

(4) Click Start-run and enter gpedit. msc to start the Group Policy.

7. Registry "SAM" key-value permission

The Registry "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESAM" contains information about the system account, which is often the target of hacking. A hidden account with administrator permissions is created under the Registry to threaten system security. It only has the "system" permission by default and cannot be viewed by the Administrator. You can perform the following operations to obtain administrator privileges. Right-click the "SAM" item and execute "permission" to authorize the Administrator (figure 2). Then, refresh the Registry to see if there is a hidden account under it.

8. xp driver digital signature prompt:

Xp drives digital signatures to ensure system stability. However, sometimes it is annoying to bring up a window without moving. To remove the prompt, follow these steps. Open the System Properties window, switch to the hardware option page, and click the driver signature button to enter the window (Figure 3). There are three options under file Signature Verification:

Figure 3

Ignore: allow the computer to install all device drivers, regardless of whether they have digital signatures.

Warning a warning message is displayed when the installer tries to install a device driver without a digital signature, which is the default behavior of Windows XP.

Blocking: prevents the installer from installing device drivers without digital signatures.

Select the "Ignore" option and set it to the system default option. If you install or upgrade the driver later, no signature verification warning will pop up.

9. replace system files and files in use

If you want to change the topic and replace the files in use (including system files), the warning window "files are protected (files are in use) and cannot be replaced" appears frequently. You can use the replace.exe command to replace the file. You can also replace the file in use. For example, create a directory C: est under c:, copy an mp3 file to c: est, name it c: esta.mp3, and then copy another song to C: a.mp3 then uses "media player" to play c: aaaa.mp3. Then enter "replace c: a.mp3 c: est" in the command prompt, and the playing song will be changed to another one. It is convenient to use this command to replace system files. XP's system file protection is also ineffective. You no longer need to replace files in safe mode.

10. Disable dangerous ports

Xp opens some ports such as 135, 139, and 445 by default. These ports are often the targets of hacker attacks. If you do not need to connect to a LAN or share files, you can close these ports.

To disable the 139 listener, select the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" attribute in "Local Connection" of "network and dial-up connection, go to "Advanced TCP/IP Settings" and "WINS Settings". There is a "Disable TCP/IP NETBIOS" item, and port 139 is disabled after the check.

To disable port 445, follow these steps:

1. Click Start> Run, enter regedit, and click OK to open the registry.

2. Find the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemControlsetServicesNetBTParameters"

3. Select "Parameters", right-click, and choose "New"> "DWORD Value ".

4. Name the DWORD Value "SMBDeviceEnabled ".

5. Right-click the "SMBDeviceEnabled" value and select "modify ".

6. In the displayed "Edit DWORD Value" dialog box, enter
