Brief case in Windows XP

Recently I carefully studied the briefcase synchronization function in Windows XP, and found that it is really much better than Win98 (not to mention that I have never used a USB flash drive in the Win98 age, I just have been so cool recently that I have never been so tired of carrying my laptop --!)... Let's just list your usage experience:

1. File Name is the basic basis for briefcase Synchronization

2. The briefcase can also be used to synchronize the directory structure.

3. The synchronization association process is a copy (Folder/file) process, rather than a move process.

4. Basic synchronization operations include copy/delete/mkdir, excluding rmdir/move. These basic operations are determined by windows.

5. The reason for not moving is that the briefcase cannot identify the changes with the same file content but different file names

6. The reason why there is no rmdir is that... M $ is lazy ....-_-! Why can't empty directories be automatically deleted during synchronization? Again ....

7. Note the following when using a briefcase:

7.(A) drag the entire folder into the briefcase

7.(B) First create a new directory in the briefcase, and then copy all the files to the directory,

7.These two methods mean that the synchronous meaning is completely different! A means that the directory tree structure is synchronized, while B means that multiple single files are synchronized.

8. The briefcase can be synchronized between normal folders, and the briefcase-Briefcase can also be synchronized. This means that a synchronization chain of any length can be created: d

9. Only one Briefcase file window can be opened at the same time. If more than one Briefcase file window is opened, the synchronization operation may fail.

10. Right-click a folder or file in the briefcase to view its update status.

11. Set the file view in the briefcase to "details" to view more synchronization information.

12. The file selection dialog box and common briefcase file window cannot browse the same briefcase at the same time...

Notes that can be improved with handwriting:

1. I'm afraid I'm a little lazy.

2. Why can't I perform MD5 verification? However, efficiency may be caused by massive file synchronization.

3. Points 9th and 12th mainly involve lock of the briefcase status and multi-File View synchronization. There are still more or less problems with Shell integration.

In summary, although the interface friendliness (such as prompts and custom synchronization operations) is much better, there are still many improvements to the XP briefcase synchronization function. Maybe I will create a shell expansion by myself.
