Briefly describe how to improve wireless signal strength (1)

Wireless signal strength is a concern of the majority of users. Everyone wants their wireless network signal to cover every corner of the room, especially where wireless Internet access is needed, otherwise, it cannot be truly wireless. However, many of my friends are very frustrated after buying a wireless router. Most of them are abandoning wireless applications because wireless signals cannot cover the ideal location, so I spent money on a wireless router to buy a broadband cable router. However, everything is skillful. Today, we invite you to work with me to increase the intensity of wireless signals.

I. Software to increase wireless signal strength:

We don't need to pay more for the software. We can increase the coverage and signal strength of wireless signals at zero consumption distance.

Method 1: Modify the signal transmission frequency band

Generally, the default wireless signal transmission frequency band of a wireless router is easy to conflict with other similar products. Therefore, if the signal is poor, we can try to modify the signal transmission frequency band, the author's experience is that the last or first frequency band is the best, and it is difficult to have conflicts. However, the frequency band 6 is the most disturbing, because many products use 6 by default.

Method 2: Cancel encryption and automatically allocate IP addresses through DHCP

Although many articles have mentioned that encryption or automatic DHCP allocation of network parameters do not affect the wireless transmission speed, however, I found that in actual use, if the wireless signal is poor or the coverage is not wide enough, I can still try to reduce the encryption level or cancel the encryption verification, in addition, disabling DHCP's automatic Address Allocation Function and setting IP addresses and other information manually can effectively improve the reception intensity of wireless signals and solve the problem of weak wireless signals.

Method 3: properly place the device location

Many users do not pay much attention to the placement of wireless devices. They often place wireless devices in the study or balcony. In fact, the signals sent by wireless devices are scattered in circles, therefore, the maximum transmission distance is its radius. Therefore, we should try our best to place wireless devices in the middle of the house, so as to maximize the coverage and strength of wireless signals to each room in the house, solve the problem of weak signal.

Method 4: Install the official NIC Driver:

Generally, if your computer's wireless NIC driver uses a universal NIC driver, a third-party driver, or even a built-in driver, you will not be able to fully utilize the wireless signal reception performance, therefore, we should try our best to install the NIC Driver provided by the official team, the best latest version. We can download the latest NIC Driver released on the official website of the wireless Nic manufacturer, in this way, the optimal performance of the wireless network card is used to solve the problem of weak signal.
