[Browser plug-in] comparison of the built-in synchronization functions of the classic bookmarks synchronization tool xmarks and chrome

I have been using firefox's xmarks, and I feel very useful. Today I have also studied chrome's Sync my bookmarks function. Now I will make a summary.

Xmarks is the top node in bookmarks synchronization, and implements IE, ff, safari, and chrome intercommunication (chrome development is in alpha stage ). It can be automatically synchronized, or we can manually choose to retain the local on the server. This is what I think is easy to use.

Chrome's Sync my bookmarks function, which I studied, puts the synchronized bookmarks in the Google Docs account. I opened it and looked at it, it seems that it cannot be deleted (if you have any knowledge of it, please kindly advise ).

In my summary, chrome's Sync my bookmarks function is as follows:

1. When chrome is disabled, the local bookmarks are automatically synchronized to the server as the latest version.

2. When we perform manual synchronization, the latest version on the server will be synchronized to the local device.

We need to perform the following operations on bookmarks:

Add: Add directly. When you close the browser, it is automatically saved on the server.

Delete: delete the file directly. When you close your browser, the file is automatically saved on the server.

Manually update the local file to the server: directly close the browser.

Manually update the server to the local machine: Click Sync my bookmarks.

It Seems messy. In fact, google wants us to make less effort to intervene in synchronization.

Written here, both plug-ins are neutral. In fact, I prefer xmarks when I started writing. Later, I thought chrome was good.

Regarding how to extend chrome's bookmarks to other browsers, online friends said they could use Google Toolbar to agree. Therefore, these two plug-ins are actually very involved!
