Today, after installing the B/S architecture software and adding the corresponding virtual directory to the customer, open the software and only query, cannot add, modify, and delete data. Error message: the operation must be an updatable query. This problem was previously encountered in the Windows 2 K system because the system's MDAC version was too low. However, this is an XP system. The MDAC of XP should be version 2.7. Although it is not the highest version, it is enough. It took a long time to figure out the cause. The website was originally placed on the NTFS partition, and the database directory was not accessible by Internet users. After knowing the cause, first remove "use simple file sharing" from the folder options ", then, add the control policies of the three users on the Security Tab Of the ACCESS database directory (anonymous users starting with iuser _, Asp.net users, and IIS starting with server) you can also directly add all the access permissions of the Everyone user. After being configured on 2003server, the system prompts you that you do not have permission to access the website. This is also the cause (add the security access permission for the entire website directory ).
