Build a Hive Gui

Add the war package to the lib directory of hive:

Download add to/usr/lib/hive/lib/hive-hwi-0.9.0-cdh4.1.0.war

Add configuration to hive-site.xml

Hive. hwi. listen. host

0.0.0.0

This is the host address the Hive Web Interface will listen on

Hive. hwi. listen. port

9999

This is the port the Hive Web Interface will listen on

Hive. hwi. war. file

/Usr/lib/hive/lib/hive_hwi.war

This is the WAR file with the jsp content for Hive Web Interface

Set ANT_LIB path

Export ANT_LIB =/usr/lib/apache-ant-1.9.0/lib

(Optional) cp/usr/java/jdk1.6.0 _ 35/lib/tools. jar/usr/lib/hive/lib/

Caused:

Unable to find a javac compiler;

Com. sun. tools. javac. Main is not on the classpath.

Perhaps JAVA_HOME does not point to the JDK.

It is currently set to "/usr/java/jdk1.6.0 _ 35/jre"

Start hwi

Hive -- service hwi> hwi. log
