Build a movie server with Helix server

Learning Objectives: Learn Helix server's primary settings, build a movie server

Start Helix Server, the first time you start the server, you can click on the desktop Helix Server icon to start, this startup is only temporary, and for the following settings are also more cumbersome. We can choose the 2nd way to start the service.

Select Control Panel-Administrative Tools-services. Locate the Helix Server in the service window right-click Start directly

After starting the service, click on the desktop Icon Helix Server Administrator to open the admin side

Click on "About" and we can see the LIC permissions and support features.

Click on "Media examples" to see a demo of the media files supported by Helix server

Click on "Play RealVideo 10 demo" to pop up real player and see a little video. In Real Player select tools-playback statistics to see the encoding properties of the media file and the version of the server that publishes the media
