Build an Erlang language development environment (text editor +erlang OTP, not an IDE-bound environment)

The first time to write a blog article, inevitably there is a bug, writing this article purely to share experience with you,

And then found that there are many such articles on the Internet, but, from my point of view, I was the Linux command,

Bound to the corresponding IDE, plug-ins and so do not have direction, so I want to share my build process

Relatively simple, in advance, this environment, after a good, big development should not be,

However, it is still possible to practice the programming of the Erlang language.

Development platform: Windows (the author is Win7 32-bit family normal edition)

Preliminary knowledge: Configuration of environment variables (Configuration of Windows External command path)

Preparation Tool: Erlang OTP executable (in white,. exe file) + text compiler (the author uses notepad++)

1. Preparation of the tool:

Erlang opt executable, Link: Download erlang/otp r15b01, see example screenshot:
as shown below, the author downloads the 32-bit executable file (i.e.: Erlang installation file) suitable for this system

anywhere, And then installed, the author installed in the D-drive, the installation process is relatively simple. text compiler words, here is recommended to use notepad++ Bar, link is not given, to download on their own on the line. 2.Erlang environment variable configuration, if you have configured the Java environment variable students will be good,     both are the same. If you don't have this kind of experience, here's what I'll show you: Locate the folder where you installed Erlang above, my: D:\Program files
Point in: Find the Bin folder (which includes many of Erlang's executables (or tools)

then add the Bin folder as an environment variable, such as my: D:\Program files\erl5.9.1\bin
on the desktop, double-click Computer, go to System Properties
Click Advanced System Settings, go in

Click environment variable ", go to

to find the" path "in the" System variables "column, generally, there is no self-created on the line

Add D:\Program files\erl5.9.1\bin, here must remember to add, To add the ";" (semicolon), complete the configuration of the Erlang environment variable after you have finished adding the ";D: \program Files\erl5.9.1\bin"

and continue to exit as determined.
3. You can now write the Erlang language program, and you can compile and execute the program. Create a new file for the. erl suffix in a file (preferably an English path), such as: Test.erl (my path: E:\src\erlang), in which the following example code is written, save.
Compile and execute the Test.erl file to open the Command Line Control window, advanced to the Test.erl location, and then execute the Erl tool, see screenshot in detail:

This is where the Erlang environment is built, plus a note:
